During the past three decades, The Waitley Institute has operated as a global consulting firm specializing in high performance human behavior learning and training. The company utilizes science and university-based research and case studies in applied neuroscience related to motivation, innovation, leadership, and team dynamics to create a sustainable culture of engagement, accountability, and positive results.

The Waitley Institute was incorporated in January 1996 by founder/CEO Denis Waitley, with principal operations in La Jolla, California, Rancho Santa Fe. California and a business branch office in Ramona, California. The Institute partners with multi-national, multi-industry clients to design and deliver high-caliber coaching, training, and leadership programs to enhance the executive, team, and organizational performance throughout the world.

Denis Waitley

He is a graduate of the U. S. Naval Academy at Annapolis and former naval aviator. Early in his civilian career he served as consultant to the president of The Salk Institute for Biological Studies in his hometown of La Jolla, California and later became president of the International Society for Advanced Education, inspired by Dr. Jonas Salk, developer of the polio vaccine.

He is the former chairman of psychology on the U.S. Olympic Committee’s Sports Medicine Council, responsible for the performance enhancement of all American Olympic athletes during the 1980s.

Deborah Waitley Ph.D.

Deborah Waitley, Ph.D., is a successful consultant to Fortune 500 and multinational corporations, in the areas of leadership effectiveness, organizational excellence, performance coaching, and innovation/change management. She has worked closely with her father, Denis Waitley, to advance the high-performance human behavior programs through the Waitley Institute in the U.S. and the Waitley Institute for Leadership Learning (WILL) in China.

As President of the Waitley Global Enterprise, Deborah is committed to ensuring individuals, teams and organizations can access and develop the necessary tools, skills and innovative mindsets to thrive – toward short-term productivity boosts and long-term performance results and sustainability. With a strong background in psychology and organizational behavior, Deborah serves as an empowering catalyst for change, navigating through the challenges of the cultural “DNA.”
